MCP setup
Connect an MCP client to IFC7 with a bearer access token.
1. Get a token
Recommended: use the CLI device flow.
bash
ifc loginCredentials are stored at:
| OS | Path |
|---|---|
| macOS | ~/Library/Application Support/ifc/credentials.json |
| Linux | ~/.config/ifc/credentials.json |
Read the access token:
bash
# macOS
jq -r .access_token "$HOME/Library/Application Support/ifc/credentials.json"Use that value as Authorization: Bearer … in your MCP client. Tokens expire; re-run ifc login when needed.
Alternative: Cognito OAuth (PKCE)
A dedicated public Cognito app client supports agent integrations (McpAgentClient). Use Authorization Code + PKCE against the Cognito Hosted UI with a local callback URL (for example http://127.0.0.1:8765/callback). The MCP client handles the redirect.
2. Cursor
Add to .cursor/mcp.json (or Cursor Settings → MCP):
json
{
"mcpServers": {
"ifc7": {
"url": "https://ifc7.dev/api/v0/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <access-token>"
}
}
}
}3. Claude Desktop
Add to claude_desktop_config.json:
json
{
"mcpServers": {
"ifc7": {
"url": "https://ifc7.dev/api/v0/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer <access-token>"
}
}
}
}
